A Sixth Sense Of Entitlement

What makes person feel that they are bigger, or more important than they rally are. Than You?Whether it's the equipment manager who is telling you how to run a route, a secretary stressing you about your work schedule, or a subordinate trying to run the show; what makes people feel like they can say whatever they want, to whoever they want? This is a touchy subject for me, because I have two minds on the topic. One says, we should live in a world where people feel safe and comfortable. Comfortable enough to speak their mind. The other says, people should understand that they just can't talk to people however they want without the fear or acknowledgement of consequences. Example: If someone who isn't your boss, criticizes your job or job performance, they should know that they have about a 50% chance of getting the shit slapped out of them. If you are a critic of anyone that you don't have an intimate or close relationship with, you should have a healthy fear of getting your head handed to you. Maybe what I'm asking for is respect. Respect in the face of ignorance, from the ignorant. Is that too much to ask? Can you get respect from an ignorant person without the fear of confrontation? Should ignorant people and their opinions even rent space in our heads? I don't know about you, but I'm handing out eviction notices. But that's just my opinion though, and who the hell am I?

In my opinion we need to hold people more accountable for the things that they say, how they choose to say it whether its criticism or arrogance, or just plain disrespect
Without being unkind and indifferent stopping them in their tracks, making them aware of your feelings, and how they place no significance to you. If they don’t take time to filter through a sentence or a thought… then I think it’s fair to bring it to their attention, holding only them responsible for their misgivings. Honey- don’t let anyone take that uniqueness away!! I love you SuperMan

Ron, i feel your complaint. And as you so elegantly put it in your last sentence, hand out the eviction notice. Let their opinions, criticism and disrepect roll off to leave no space anywhere: not mentally, physically, or emotionally.

I'm learning in lyfe that there are irrgorant people who really have no sense of respect nor do they truly understand what they are speaking out of their mouth. They really don't get it or don't care...

I work with a girl who has made a few statements directly to me in offense. I politely, had to tell her off about the comments and made her re-think her opinions or shut the hec up.

She understands now, that she can't speak her mind and offend people without a come back. Sometimes, its not even worth coming back at them because they are just irrogrant.

I guess, learning to Let God handle the irrogrant is the best at times and he does take care of it.

So, don't let any of it get to you. This too shall pass! Some people are STUPID!!!

Haters will always hate. It shall pass.
